HUNGARIAN SKINHEADS ADMIT DESECRATION OF JEWISH
CEMETERY. Two skinheads belonging to the Arrow Cross
Movement on 7 July admitted to having defaced 15 tombs
in a Jewish cemetery in the western town of
Szombathely last weekend, local police told Hungarian
media. The skinheads painted swastikas, the Star of
David hanging from gallows, and obscene drawings on
the tombstones shortly before a Holocaust
commemoration was scheduled to take place in the
cemetery. Hungarian President Arpad Goncz strongly
condemned the desecration and urged Hungarians to
reject anti-Semitism. MSZ
