The Junior Fellowship Program allows young, active environmentalists
from central and eastern Europe to spend one month in the REC
Headquarters in Budapest to take part in training on NGO
organizational development issues, establish contacts with
environmentalists from other countries and learn about the REC's
services. After this month fellows will have practical experience in
project proposal writing, presentation skills, networking, project and
organizational management, computer applications and fundraising.
During the fellowship they will have access to all REC resources and
have the option to work on projects that directly benefit their NGO.
Junior Fellows come from a variety of backgrounds and from different
CEE countries. They should be between 20 and 30 years old and have
experience in working in environmental NGOs. They should exhibit a
strong interest in improving the environment in the region. For the
1997 sessions, we are inviting participants from Albania, Armenia,
Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosznia - Hertzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech
Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania,
Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia,
Ukraine and Yugoslavia. The REC covers all costs for travel,
accommodation and daily expenses.

You should apply if you:
- have demonstrated a strong interest in environmental protection -
are between 20 and 30 years old - are active in an environmental NGO -
are a citizen of the participating countries - speak and write good

If you are interested in our program, send a letter of application in
English explaining: - your motives for applying - your expectation of
the program - the activities on which you want to work for your NGO
during the training period - the fellowship periods for which you want
to apply (we encourage you to apply for more than one period)

and your curriculum vitae (CV) in English, containing:
- family name and given names

- fax number and e-mail address
- nationality
- date and place of birth
- passport no
- education and field of specialization
- knowledge of foreign languages (indicate fair, good or poor)

The Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC), an
international organization headquartered in Szentendre, is looking for a
Project Officer for its Public Participation Program team. The Project
will be responsible for overseeing the program's training activities in
CEE countries, as well as other policy research and monitoring activities to
ensure integration of public participation practices in environmental
decisionmaking processes. Qualifications include: university degree in
environmental or international field; minimum 3-5 years' experience in public
advocacy or public participation-related issues; familiarity with key
environmental problems in the CEE region; fluency in English; demonstrated
project management skills; facilitation and training experience.

Azt azert megjegyeznem, hogy a kornyezetet az egyennek is vedenie kell.
En most teljes bizonytalansagban vagyok, hogy mennyivel huzzam le.
Nemcsak annak van pszichologiaja, hogy minden ismeretlentol felek, ezert
egyetlen kornyezetvedo beruhazast sem engedek megepiteni a kornyezet
vedesenek okan, hanem annak is, hogy ha nem kaphatok vilagos valaszokat
arra, hogy mit kellene csinalnom, akkor egy ido utan teljesen elvesztem
az erdeklodesem, es mar nem is kivanom vedeni a kornyezetet.

Mas. Egyik baratunk, sajnos mar elfelejtettem ki, azt is irta a vita
heveben, hogy az istalotragya kihordasa is karos. Teljes felreertes. A
legjobb kornyezetvedelem a korfolyamatok fenntartasa. Gond mindig akkor
van, ha ez megszakad, es valami valahol felszaporodik.
