I am trying to figure out the best translation of the word "contempt",
especially as it's used in expressions such as "contempt of the Court",
or Contempt of Congress (Parliament).  Somehow the word "megvete's" or
"lene'ze's" don't sound right in such expressions.

The proper translation of the Latin comtemno is "lene'z", "megvet"..
Consequently the English "In contempt of the Court" helyesen a
"Biro'sa'got lene'zve" vagy a "Biro'sa'got megvetve.". Naturaly if a PC
talk don't use such a comtemplible words, one can say: "A birosa'ggal
ellenkezve."

3. And the last one -- do you seriously believe that the West

Alex, there is no need to shout.  However, in reply to your question,
no I have not.  Some Russians -- in particular the communists -- won't
listen because the truth is too painfull for them.  But, many other
Russians genuinly want to develop peacefull, respectful relations with
their neighbors.  It is those I want to talk to, so that they can
start to understand what motivates us, and so that we can understand

I sincerely admit your style of answering questions beats
any answering machine. By the by, Chinese goods have long
outperformed many American products in the US market ---
Following your logic one has to assume that USA "depends"
on China. Then come Japanese cars, home electronics, Indian
clothes etc. THAT is not the big deal --- the big deal is
minerals and markets, exactly with what the former USSR lavishly
provided its allies (last time I used "friends" -- but that
doesn not always sound politically correct). THAT is what
those countries still very much depend on, regardless of
what their leaders claim in public. So, the extent of our
mutual dependency is quite visible today. Russians have easily
switched from the second-hand "socialist" product to better deals
with the West. Can you afford to do the same?

And once again, I AM NOT threatening you. I DO NOT deny you the
right to do whatever you choose. I simply give you my reasons to
explain why expectations of people used to the cringing
posture do not come true. Little guys HAVE TO be courageous and
smart in order to gain profit in the capitalist world.

I am sick and tired of reading the racist blabbering of this moron.  I hope
that most Slovaks are equally repulsed by his obvious hatred of Hungarians.

His barely concealed reference to the 600,000 ethnic Hungarians living
inside the present borders of Slovakia as 'adversaries' may be the reason
why our people are abused by the Slovak authorities.

The denial of human rights of minorities living anywhere, is everybody's
business.  Any nation that abuses its minorities is itself diminished by
these oppressive actions.  Racists, such as Igor Gazdik, should be bothered
by the negative image they present for their country.

The restrictive laws, recently passed by the Slovak government, make
Slovakia the scorn of the civilized world.

Nice page, Mike.  I have a few comments.  The graphics are all gif, why?
Convert to jpg and these compressed images would load a LOT faster. 
Also, the background is sort of drab.  A different color (light gray?)
and texture (paper) would make it livelier and easier to read.  Its nice
to see the church on the web!!! Beautiful.  Catholic trivia: Do you know
why church bells ring around the world at noon?  Visit my site and find
