As far as my experience goes, some people in CEFTA do not wellcome
the expansion of it to include the Baltic countries into it. For example,
the Czech prime minister V.Klaus recently expressed reserved opinion
about possible membership of the Baltic countries. I have an impression that
some better off Eastern European countries start behaving the same way as
some western european countries towards them. I think that's not a
very good model for the future Europe.

i just saw the other response to your request for help.
the name was misspelled. it read, vcsi, but the correct spelling
would be ocsi, with .. above the o, pronounced erchie, without the
"r" sound in it. bert

hi joe, caught your message on scm. there are many nicknames, often
tied to the given name. John, or Janos in hingarian would
be jancsi(pronounced yunchee), it may help in the deciphering if
you told me the first name. By the way, my sister is in santa fe
area, where i,ve visited many times. its a beautiful place. Where
are you from originally ( as if you couldn't be from where you
are). I'm calling back from the jersey shore. email back and i'll
try to help. bert.

The list I posted is a *complete* list I had to learn in a grammar
(nyelvtan) class -- I think in 4th or 5th grade.

As for other prefixes, ala', bele, ko:ze', ko:zbe, uta'na, mo:ge'
comes to my mind.

It might be G. Nagy (pronounced es ge'nagy)
It is not an unusual surname.

Dear Sir/Madam:

We need an information about the culture events in Europe, which
may involve kids and teens from Ukraine to present their art, dance,
folklore, etc.
We would be very appreciate, if you respond via email, because we do
not subscribe the newsgroup.

Thank you,

How about " O"CSI" (The " accent is directly above the O)...?
Its approximate pronouncination is something like "oetchee".
Try it!

+ - Family Name Gabor or Gaber (mind) VÁLASZ  Feladó: (cikkei)

My grandparents left Gelse about 20 km north of Nagykanisza in Zala
county just before WWI. I have been lucky enough to be able to visit
Gelse several times. There are lots of families *Bognar* in town, and in
the cemetary there, but we can't find any info about my grandmother's
origins. Her family name was Gabor or Gaber. We are trying to construct
a family tree, so any info would be much appreciated.

I'll be traveling to Budapest in the spring and I heard that the Hotel
Gellert was very good. Anyone have any contact info? Has anyone stayed
there or have any other favorite place to stay in the city. I'm also
looking for internet access while I'm there. Is there any place that has a
PC (won't be bringing my own) and an internet hookup for e-mail access?

Thanks

Kevin
