only digging out my US passport when I got "home" to New York.
Your passport is also proof of citizenship. But be careful: unlike your US
citizenship which gives you the right to vote regardless of your physical
location, the Hungarian constitution -- strangely -- denies you the right to
vote. The reson I
call that strange is that all of Hungary's neighbors permit their citizens to
vote even if they live in the US and are US citizens as well. (I recall an
advertisement by RMDSz, the Romanian Hungarian party , asking Romanian citizens
who are ethnic Hungari
nsulate and vote! All this on the New York Hungarian Radio!) Perhaps
eventually Hungary will catch up, too...

Well, well, the countess was actually Hungarian and I suggest asking our
friends from soc.culture.magyar.
I believe they said she liked to bath in blood of virgil girls.
Anyway, she would have made Vlad Dracula the Impaler look like
a real nice guy.
I think that her family, Bathory, got tired of her and put her in a prison cell
where she died.
Maybe someone else has more details on this Hungarian character.

Hello:
My name is S. Tomie Burke and I am in need of assistance. We are
searching for the family of our father who was Hungarian. He came to the
U.S. in the 50's we think. He had escaped from a Russian prison. Dad,
Jonas Szasz, died while we were small children in the 60's, a couple
years later our mother died. Our stepfather has no information regarding
the Szasz family in Hungary. After years of searching for information we
have the following. Dad had a brother, Sandor Szasz in Szaszhalembatta,
Hungary. We recently wrote the mayor and he confirmed that Sandor is
alive but would not give us his address. We want our uncle and any other
family to know we are alive and would like to correspond with them. Can
anyone out there help us get in touch with our Uncle. Does anyone have
family or a person in a nearby town that I can contact by e-mail?
Please, we've searched so long, so hard, we want to know our family.
Thank you!

Well as a matter of fact a Romanian guy, sorry I can't think of his name,
it is perhaps Andrei somthing or another (I think he is the one who lives
in New Orleans and has an NPR slot on All Things Considered) just wrote a
book about her. A friend of mine read the prepublished book for review and
razzed me about it. Maybe it is intended to derail the Dracula pride, hey
anything that brings the tourist dollars.
is useful.
As I recall some writings, the lady she was only bathing in blood, the
drinking was reserved for licensed vampires only. How far some will go for
a beauty treatment. :-)

His name is Andrei Codrescu and wrote a few books, not all on Romania.
One one Romania is called: A hole in the flag, while another one is
a description of his travel across USA in a pink Cadillac.
He is often on NPR and lives in Baton Rouge teaching of all things
English at a Luisiana University. I heard him on Radio and he has a very
strong accent, quite funny. He seems to be a real democrat and quite
anti republican.(Hates their guts)

I can't belive he wrote on Countess Bathory, what's the name of the
book ?

I don't that anything can do that. They just had the first

Talking of Dracula he was in the Visegrad castle for 12 or so years
imprisoned. Is there anything there that looks like it may be a tourist
attraction ?

A few years ago on late night Creature Feature I saw a movie on TV
about the Countess Bathory. It was quite gross, I recall.
The lady was eating some body parts and was bathing in blood.
The problem was the leftovers were tossed behind or under the bed and
after I few days they stunk up the place. Needless to say other members
of the family found the odor to hard to swallow.

daca esti in stare...), insa timpeniile pe care le insiri sint sub orice
critica si imi provoca GREATA, pur si simplu!!!!!
vorbesti ROMANESTE atita vreme cit traiai pe teritoriul Romaniei.
nerusinate de cind v-a adus necuratul in coasta noastra, a romanilor!
afluentei mari de persoane!!!Acum 4 ani am stat 5 ore in frig la granita in
fleoanca (daca stii ce-i aia) si GET LOST!!!Sa nu te obosesti sa-mi raspunzi la

I may add that after the congress of RMDSZ there's another anti-Hungarian

For improving game theories of restricted information availability.
This has had much use for the USA in the negotiation arts of the Cold War

Obviously the theory thrives on the oblique ground of economics as well. :)

Some weeks ago he officially visited Hungary, together with Nobel lauterate
